RTUC HAS SPREAD ITS WINGS FURTHER IN WESTERN PROVINCE, GISENYI

Rwanda Tourism University College has set up a branch in Gisenyi, Rubavu district at Ex-Institut st.Fidele as part of its development agenda. The academic centre has started on 18th January ,2010 and will serve the western and northern region and part of Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. All Institutions in the world go through a period of metamorphosis, without which an egg will ever remain an egg. Great Institutions have humble beginnings, when history is written about great institutions; we at times find it hard to believe that some portions are real. Rwanda Tourism University College has its own history. Each period has its pains and laurels. However history puts on record that RTUC has produced men and women of repute from different places in Rwanda and continues to do so. RTUC Gisenyi Campus as I see it, has potentials; an Institution which is cosmopolitan in nature without diversity being vivid is rare to find.

It enhances the overall development of students. Once a student has gone through the halls of Rwanda Tourism University College he/she never remains the same. His/her world-view changes completely. Clubs and student activities: which offer students the opportunity to discover new interests, to expand on their passions, and to develop leadership skills. sports/physical activities: (required) which ensure the physical health and well-being of every student. Our physical activities take advantage of our unique location and include outdoor pursuits such as hiking, mountain biking, and a high ropes course. All students participate in RTUC GISENYI CAMPUS’athletics, arts, music, and activities programs.

Many Opportunities to Expand English Language Skills: To enhance local population and the RTUC student's educational experience at RTUC GISENYI, and to ensure numerous and varied English language exchanges per day, a number of structured activities are provided to complete their daily schedule.. Experienced Teachers: RTUC Gisenyi campus's English Program is taught by professional teachers experienced in teaching English international students. All RTUC faculty members are sensitive to the students' needs to adapt to learning. Professional Development Activities. Our faculty and other professional staff members receive continuous professional development regarding brain research, learning styles and differentiated classrooms, and adolescent social and emotional involvement. In addition to an intensive in-service, there are three professional development days each year.
